cruftpunk: a hackerly, punny nom de plume created as a sort of portmanteau of “cruft” and “crustpunk“.
I am not a crustpunk nor am I a hacker (stolen valor, it is all around us!), although I do have sysadmin roots and I like punk music. I am merely a middle-aged cartoonist attempting to make some damn art in the fleeting, precious hours I have after enduring my daily corporate hellscape but before I eventually die.
my current series is called “claptrap and fuckery”, because that is what it consists of most often. also because it sounds like the name of a Borscht Belt comedy duo, or possibly the title of an old radio show, and I enjoy that.
some things are backdated from when I originally drew them, so don’t let the dates confuse you.
I have no set update schedule, although I am trying to trick myself into drawing enough that regular updates will sort of happen by accident. it is what it is for now. thank you for stopping by and enjoy the show.
